After the raising of Lazarus has put both the people and the Sanhedrin into a frenzy of anticipation and animosity respectively, Jesus enters Jerusalem. There are palms and praises; driving out thieves and welcoming in children at the temple, and an unfortunate fig tree that serves as the representation of Israel’s spiritual state.
